Long before cell phone technology, I've had a camera in my hand.

When my kids were little our version of the "5 second rule" meant the amount of time necessary to pause and take a picture. Several years ago I was attending a friend's wedding and my son (owner of a video-production company) watched me running around, joyfully taking photos. He pulled me aside and announced it was time for me to do the work to become a professional photographer.

I did the work and now it's my pleasure to invite you to consider hiring me for your next special event.

Why Me?

During my years as a Vice President of Training for a multi-billion dollar corporation, I took on the role of photographer for team-building events, award ceremonies, executive meetings, and annual conferences from coast to coast. While not in my job description, I loved earning the trust of colleagues who weren't used to having a camera pointed in their general direction. During that time I learned a lot about capturing emotions.

In 2010 I started to practice hot yoga. My son had something to say about that too (and I quote), "You're strong, flexible, and can get on the ground for a shot." This made me laugh, because it's true. I've hiked miles with clients to their desired destination and embrace the opportunity to go to rugged and unique locations. If you're planning a wedding or event off the beaten path, let's talk!

My primary objective (besides delivering quality photos) is to connect with you and make the process fun. Check out what people say about working with me in the testimonials tab.

Home Base.

My home is in Troutdale, Oregon, the gateway to the Columbia River Gorge. I travel often for photography jobs (trains, planes or automobiles) and will continue to do so.

My priority is to accommodate you and I come armed with a good eye and years of customer service experience. At the end of the day, it's all about you. Your vision. Your photos.

Browse the portfolio to see if my style intrigues you. If so, I'd love the opportunity to discuss bringing your vision to life.
